Rams projected starting ILB Micah Kiser suffered a pectoral injury in the pre-season match up vs the Dallas Cowboys in Hawaii. Sean McVay spoke about it after the game saying “He got banged up. He had something with his pec,” McVay said. “We’ll have a little bit more information later on and we’ll give you an update tomorrow, for sure.”
“We’re hopeful that we’ll get some good information back on Micah, but when you look at one of the guys that’s projected as a starter that’s actually participated (in preseason), if you end up losing him, certainly I think you’d say, ‘Man, I wish I’d handled that differently.’ But you’ve got to trust the decisions and everything we do is for a reason and in the best interest of the players.”
The severity of this injury could impact many players who are fighting for a job. Kiser is looked at a potential starter this year next to Cory Littleton and if Kiser misses an extended amount of time this could certainly help decide what happens with some of the other inside linebackers fighting for a job, like former Last Chance U star Dakota Allen. Check back with Rams House for an update on the severity of the injury for Kiser.
