After dealing with a broken foot right before the start of OTA’s, Ogbo was expected back late in training camp. Complications with his recovery pushed that back even further as he was put on the PUP list to start the season. After the required 6 week waiting period, the Rams had 3 weeks in which to decide to add him to the 53 man roster or put him on IR to finish the season. After a week of being evaluated, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has finally been added to the active roster.

Ogbo was widely viewed as a steal in the 2018 draft as the Rams selected him in the 5th round. Fans have certainly had a level of excitement about this young man and even more so in his return from injury as we’ve struggled rushing the passer from the EDGE at times this year. After trading for Dante Fowler Jr. just before the trade deadline, the Rams will feature an almost entirely overhauled EDGE group featuring Samson Ebukam, Dante Fowler Jr. as the likely starters and Obo Okoronkwo providing some nice depth behind them.
